Stephan Banham is a typographer, educator and writer centred on the social and cultural aspects of letterforms. Stephan graduated RMIT with a PhD (Media & Communication) following a Master of Design (Communication Design) and Bachelor of Arts (Visual Communication). He uses typography to tell stories through an array of materials & processes. Recognised internationally, his design work and writings have appeared in countless international publications. Stephan has spoken at global events, all the way in Barcelona, Beirut, New Zealand and New York, and is a board member of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD).
