Jing Qi is based in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies and the Social Equity Research Centre at RMIT University. Jing's research is broadly concerned with internationalisation of education. She draws together research and teaching experiences in multilingual, intercultural, sociological and technological studies to bring an interdisciplinary perspective to education and community research. She has worked in universities in Australia and China since 2003, designing and delivering teaching in the disciplinary areas of Education and Languages.
Jing has published extensively in areas including international/transnational education, doctoral education, teacher education, blended and digital learning, and language education. Jing has provided educational consultancy to education departments, universities and schools in Australia and internationally.
Jing has collaborated with industry partners including NSW Connect Child and Family Services, Microsoft, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Department of Home Affairs, NSW Office of Preventive Health, NSW Department of Education, Victorian Department of Education, Community Languages Australia, Victorian School of Languages, Ningbo Education Bureau,Fujian Department of Education, and International Baccalaureate Organization through multiple projects in the areas of teacher professional development, intercultural reseacher development, community engagement, digital education, language education and international education.
