Complete a semester overseas

Spending a semester or year abroad and immersing yourself in another culture is one of the best ways to learn, experience life with a different flavour, and make friends from all over the world.

If you’re seeking a highly independent and inspiring learning experience, then completing a semester overseas may be right for you. You will discover a fresh perspective, develop your personal and professional skills, expand networks and create new friends — all while gaining credit towards your program.

All RMIT postgraduate, undergraduate and vocational education students can apply, and financial support is available for many programs. Our Education Abroad team can provide personal advice and help you get started.

Cross-campus study at RMIT Vietnam

Immersed yourself in a cultural experience while studying at one of RMIT's Vietnam campuses. Cross-campus study involves studying at our Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi campuses for a semester or a full year. This option offers academic, personal and professional benefits.

Study abroad with student exchange

Student exchange is where you study at one of our partner universities for one semester or a full year, gaining credit towards your course. You can also pick an institution without an exchange agreement with RMIT if it offers courses in your discipline and accepts Study Abroad students.

International work experience and volunteering

RMIT offers a range of international internships and volunteer programs across Asia, Europe and North America. These can last anywhere from a few weeks to six months and can be undertaken as part of your RMIT program.
