An academic competition that challenges Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates to explain their thesis and its significance in just three minutes.
The Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT) celebrates the exciting research conducted by Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates. Developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), 3MT cultivates students' academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in language appropriate for a non-specialist audience.
