AuSpire lays the groundwork for joint research
RMIT Europe and Moeve began their collaboration in 2024 as part of AuSpire.
Through AuSpire, two postdoctoral researchers based at Moeve's Innovation Centre are undertaking projects aligned with Moeve's energy-transition priorities under the joint supervision of Moeve and RMIT researchers.
Dr Prakhar Mishra is researching advanced materials for next-generation electrolysis technologies for green hydrogen under the co-supervision of Distinguished Professor Rachel Caruso from RMIT’s School of Science.
Dr Dmitrii Vasenin's research into AI-driven thermal and energy management in electric vehicle charging stations is co-supervised by Distinguished Professor Mahdi Jaili from RMIT’s School of Engineering.
The event in Madrid provided an opportunity for senior leaders from Moeve, RMIT and the Australian government to hear about the expected impact of these projects, their alignment with Moeve’s “Positive Motion 2030” strategy, and how the work fits into RMIT’s own commitment to Regenerative Futures.
Building connections that contribute to the energy transition
The RMIT and Moeve partnership demonstrates the potential of cross-sectoral, international collaboration to address complex energy transition challenges.
The event at Moeve's Madrid headquarters explored opportunities to build a global talent pipeline for the energy transition and strengthen long-term collaboration between industry and universities.
By connecting research, talent and industry priorities, the partnership has laid the foundations for future collaboration and innovation.
The gathering marked an important milestone in the growing relationship between RMIT and Moeve.
