Lord Mayor’s Student Welcome

New and returning students are invited to the Queen Victoria Market for a night of celebration, food stalls and live entertainment. Hosted by the City of Melbourne.

Join the City of Melbourne for a celebration at the Summer Night Market at Queen Victoria Market. Bring your friends or make new ones at the event!

The Lord Mayor's Student Welcome is a free, yearly event that welcomes new and returning students to the city and celebrates international students' contributions to Melbourne's cultural life and diversity.

  • Live performances, including African drumming, international student singing and a selection of Kpop dance performances
