Overview

Develop and refine your drawing skills using AutoCAD (Windows). This hands-on course combines practical exercises and expert-led demonstrations, allowing you to learn advanced techniques for improving drawing productivity and complexity.

It is recommended that prior to undertaking this course, you have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, working with 2D coordinates and layers, basic 2D drawing and modifying commands in AutoCAD. Learn CAD basics with AutoCAD Level 1.

Students who have previously completed the AutoCAD Level 1 course are eligible for a 15% discount on the course fee.

How to enrol

Step 1: Register into a course

Select 'Enrol' and use the webform to register your details for the course you want to study.

Step 2: Make payment

Complete your payment online. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been made. Submit any eligibility for discounts prior to payment.

Step 3: Await email confirmation

You will receive a short course tax invoice email when your booking's finalised. You will then receive a course confirmation email, with additional course details, approximately one week prior to course commencement.

Prerequisites

AutoCAD Level 1 or foundational AutoCAD knowledge/experience.

Basic computer skills are essential such as mouse control, Windows skills, the ability to use the internet and file storage networks.

Materials supplied

All relevant course notes are supplied with comprehensive instructions and exercises.

Materials to bring

Pen, paper and/or laptop for note taking. A USB flash drive for transferring and storing files.

Suited to

The course is suitable for anyone wishing to develop existing AutoCAD skills and those who have already completed AutoCAD Level 1.

Additional notes

All our trainers are professional Architects, Engineers, Building, Industrial or Interior Designers with extensive AutoCAD experience. They are also Autodesk certified professionals. Many teach in related programs at RMIT.

Outcome

Program completion will enable participants to apply some of the more advanced AutoCAD functions and applications. Upon finishing the course you will receive a RMIT Certificate of Completion.  You can use this as a record to demonstrate the outcomes covered in the course.

You must attend 80% of this course to be eligible for a Certificate (or 75% of a four-day course).
