SafeZone

SafeZone is a free mobile app for staff, students and contractors to connect directly with campus security, first aid and other support, while you are on campus.

How can I access SafeZone? 

  1. Use Emergency alerts if you or someone else is in immediate danger, Campus Security will deploy a guard to your location.
  2. First aid is for when you or someone else needs urgent medical assistance.
  3. Select Help to call Campus Security for non-urgent support.
  4. Turn on location check-ins and check-in timer so Campus Security can assist if you’re working or studying alone on campus or walking to your car late at night.
  5. Report suspicious activity if you see something on campus that doesn’t seem right.
  6. Click on the menu icon for more options including viewing the Bundoora Courtesy Bus route between Bundoora East and West campuses.

How can I access SafeZone? 

  1. Download the SafeZone app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  2. Login with your RMIT staff or student email address 
  3. You’ll be prompted to login again via RMIT’s multifactor authentication process
  4. Check your pre-filled information on the ‘Sign-up” page, and add other information, if relevant, like medical conditions or special needs
  5. Click the green “sign up” button
  6. Accept terms and conditions
  7. Select your campus/es
