Projects

We are excited to showcase these completed projects as prime examples of the power of gamification in education. They serve as inspiration for future endeavours, driving us to continually innovate and push the boundaries of gamified learning experiences.

Immersive Virtual Reality Simulation on Soft Skills

The use of Virtual Reality (VR) in negotiation simulations for MBA students has emerged as a powerful tool to enhance their learning experience. VR technology allows students to immerse themselves in realistic scenarios, providing a safe and controlled environment to practice their soft skills.

Through VR simulations, our MBA students can engage in interactive role-playing exercises, where they negotiate with virtual counterparts that exhibit a wide range of behaviours and personalities. This application of gamification offers students the opportunity to develop and refine their negotiation strategies, communication skills, and decision-making abilities in a dynamic and experiential manner.

By experiencing different negotiation scenarios and receiving immediate feedback, MBA students can gain valuable insights into their strengths and areas for improvement, enabling them to become more effective and confident negotiators in real-world business settings.

A Serious Game to foster collaboration (Streets of my Town X RMIT)

This serious game was built to provide students with real simulated opportunities to analyse a complex challenge (exists within the context of a mining town in Australia as a simulated case), empathise with various stakeholders involved, practice and reflect on their inter/intrapersonal skills within and outside of the game.

Through the game, students will be able to apply the design thinking framework in analysing the complex challenge and develop innovative solutions that have positive social impacts on the town’s various stakeholders.

Central to the case is the opportunities for students to talk to and observe multiple game characters who are members of the above stakeholders within the town and interact with some of the town’s artefacts that contribute to the scenario, e.g. sustainability challenges faced by multiple stakeholders. It is essential for students to empathise and analyse the complex challenge from various points of view/perspectives through the game.
