The Slow Floor

The Slow Floor is a pressure-sensitive surface mapped to a rich interactive sound response.

The aim of this research is to gain knowledge of the relationship between walking movements and sound responses using pressure-sensitive interactive surfaces.

A program of evaluative studies supports this design activity and will provide insight into the relationship between movement and sound.
