Engineering industry experience placement program

The engineering experience placement program is a cornerstone of RMIT University’s approach to industry-relevant education and training.

Students gain the practical experience and work-ready skills they need to thrive in industry.

Industry partners can benefit in a variety of ways, including:

  • trialling potential recruits without obligation
  • building a pool of potential recruits who are familiar with workplace culture
  • injecting enthusiasm and new ideas
  • developing links with the University
  • adding value through participation in research projects relevant to your organisation

The engineering industry experience placement program can be tailored to suit the needs of industry and take many forms including:

  • 10 - 12 week placements or internships
  • 6 or 12 month internships
  • industry-based student projects
  • short term or part-time employment
