Once submitted, your application status will change to ‘Under assessment’ and you will be sent notifications to the email address you registered with. If a Selection Officer requires further information from you, a request email will be sent to your registered email and you’ll be notified on My Dashboard.

If you have submitted all the required documentation, you can expect an outcome within 1–4 weeks.

Tracking your application

To track your application, you can login at any time and check the progress via My Dashboard.

If you’ve applied for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) and the course requires ranking as part of the assessment, a ranking email will be sent to you to advise what date you can expect to receive an outcome.

Changing or withdrawing your application

Once you have submitted your direct application, you can login to:

  • submit selection tasks and additional information (if requested)
  • change your personal details, or  
  • withdraw your application.

If you wish to submit a new application, you must first withdraw from your existing application and then reapply.

Application outcomes

You will receive one of three potential outcomes from your application:

Full offer

When you receive a full offer, you will be sent an email notifying you of your success and instructions on how to accept your offer. Once you have accepted your offer you will be sent information about how and when to enrol. You must enrol to secure your place.

Conditional offer

You may receive a conditional offer if your full offer is subject to the provision of documents to meet the entry requirements for the course you have applied for. For current RMIT students, your conditional offer may be reliant on completion of your current studies. You are not required to submit documents in this instance.

Packaged offer

A packaged offer combines two courses in a single offer. You must successfully complete the first course and meet the admissions requirements of the next course in your package before you can progress.

Deny

If you receive a deny outcome, you will receive a notification via email and My Dashboard containing the reason why your application was unsuccessful at this time.
