Parallel Panels & Sketches in Situ - Two Event Series

Join South Korean comics artist Gyeongmu Noh (Bucheon) and local artists Oslo Davis (Oslo's Melbourne) and Rachel Ang (I Ate the Whole World to Find You) for a two-event series exploring graphic storytelling and cultural exchange.

Event 1: Parallel Panels Discussion - 12:30pm: Gyeongmu Noh, Oslo Davis and Rachel Ang reflect on their experiences in the Parallel Panels cultural exchange residency program, what it means to build a career as a comic/graphic storyteller, and how they draw inspiration from ordinary moments - at home or far away.

The discussion will be followed by a tea break, where you'll have the chance to mingle with other guests and artists. Refreshments will be provided.

Event 2: Sketches in Situ - 1:45pm: During the second part of the day, you'll get to experience three unique workshops in a round-robin style format. Each artist will facilitate a brief exercise specific to their style. As you move through the room, you'll learn something new from each of these incredible authors.

Please note:
These are individual sessions; you are welcome to register for one or both of these experiences.

Parallel Panels has received grant funding from the Australia-Korea Foundation 호한재단
