genAI for Educators

This interactive session will support Program Managers and Course Coordinators in embedding genAI into the curriculum, including for assessment. It assumes some familiarity with RMIT's genAI tools (e.g., Val, Microsoft Enterprise Chat, Adobe Firefly, or Express). The workshop will cover content from the educator Canvas course "Artificial Intelligence in Learning and Teaching" and will extend this content with practical activities and resources. Participants are encouraged to explore the genAI resources on the Educator Resource Hub prior to the workshop.

Key Objectives

  • Articulate the potential benefits and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence tools into education.
  • Identify suitable scenarios for implementing artificial intelligence-enabled assessments, learning materials, and activities.
  • Develop engaging learning materials and activities that incorporate artificial intelligence to foster student engagement and learning.
  • Communicate to students regarding the effective and appropriate use of artificial intelligence in their learning.
