CommFest 2026 is a collection of events for industry and students that brings together the work of Advertising, Digital and Public Relations senior students as part of their Capstones for the Bachelor of Professional Communication Program at RMIT.
4 – 5pm: Public Relations and Digital Communication Showcase
See the future of PR in action at CommFest 2026's PR Showcase, celebrating RMIT's graduating Professional Communication students. This event puts student talent front and centre, giving graduating PR students the chance to present their work to industry guests, peers, and staff. Industry guests will be provided with a student representative to facilitate the journey through the showcase.
5 – 6.30pm: PRovocation Symposium
Spin Doctors: Defining Moments in PR. Join students and industry experts for a candid talk on integrity, pressure, and career in PR.
The PRovocation Symposium is a student-led industry event connecting graduating Professional Communication students with the PR industry. This year's theme, 'Spin doctors: defining moments in PR', takes on the loaded term often used to dismiss the work of PR professionals and turns it into a genuine conversation about what the job actually demands.
6 – 7pm: Professional Communication Industry Networking
Join us for the Professional Communication Networking event. Meet your industry peers and our top graduating students in Professional Communication for your opportunity to network over food and drink.
7 – 8pm: Professional Communication 2026 Student Awards
These awards are sponsored by our esteemed industry partners and showcase students across Advertising, Public Relations and Digital Communication.
