Donate to RMIT’s Cultural Collections

The RMIT Cultural Collections are a vibrant resource on Melbourne’s design heritage for the University’s students, staff and the community.

RMIT proudly safeguards significant collections across art, design, and screen culture. Managed by a dedicated team of professionals and archivists, these renowned assets are fundamental to our teaching and learning ethos.

Our collections include:

  • Australian Screen Research Collection
Recognising the unique history of Australian cinema, screen culture, and theory, this collection supports new research through the annual ASRC Fellowship program.
  • Design Archives
Celebrating Melbourne’s design heritage and supporting scholarship, these archives feature diverse collections and publications that enhance academic engagement.
  • University Art Collection
Serving as both an educational and research resource, and a place of inspiration, the collection comprises some of Australia’s most outstanding examples of modern and contemporary art, as well as the first University art lending library for RMIT students and staff in Australia.

Your donation will help us conserve, digitise and expand access to these collections, ensuring essential object-based learning and research opportunities for students, academics and researchers into the future.
