The Collection Development and Management Framework (the Framework) describes how the Library acquires, maintains and evaluates resources to ensure our Collections:
The framework includes the Library Responsible Practice principles, the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access) framework (PDF, 9.7MB), the Library Digital Strategy and Digital Preservation Strategy (PDF, 6.6MB).

We will assess gifts for relevance, currency, condition, uniqueness and value to the RMIT Community. Unsolicited donations that meet the above criteria will be gratefully received and added to the collection; those that don't will be passed to other libraries, RMIT students, or discarded.
