Robert is Professor and Director of Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) at RMIT University, where he leads the strategic implementation of the University's digital research infrastructure ecosystem. With over 20 years' experience spanning universities and NCRIS facilities, Robert has led institutional and national-scale initiatives that have advanced Australia's high-impact digital research landscape. He aligns infrastructure strategy with institutional and national priorities, secures competitive funding, and fosters collaborative partnerships across complex, multi-stakeholder programs, delivering innovative digital platforms that empower research and teaching excellence and long-term sustainability.
Dale is a Cloud Application Specialist at RACE, with a research background in computational chemistry and high-performance computing (HPC). He manages RACE’s research platforms and specialises in building cloud-based solutions that support researchers and their computational needs. He focuses on developing and maintaining the underlying infrastructure required to deliver scalable, reliable and secure research services.
Patrick is a Cloud Application Specialist at RACE, with a research background in computational chemistry and over 4 years' experience translating complex researcher needs into digital requirements. He completed his PhD at RMIT in 2024, and now works closely with RMIT researchers, helping them adopt and effectively use RACE's research platforms.
Xiaoying is a HASS Cloud Specialist at RACE, with over 3 years' experience in digital research support in higher education, supporting researchers in the use of digital research technologies and platforms. She holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from RMIT. Following her PhD, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher, developing vision-based quality inspection systems for industrial applications.
