To enrol in Enrolment Online, you need to use a desktop or laptop computer and enable pop-ups in your browser settings.
You’ll use your Student ID, RMIT email address and temporary password to access Enrolment Online (RMIT’s enrolment system) and other RMIT systems.
Your student ID is the letter 's' followed by your student number (excluding any extra letters) e.g., s1234567. Your student number is in your RMIT offer email.
Your RMIT email address is your Student ID and ‘@student.rmit.edu.au’ e.g., s1234567@student.rmit.edu.au.
Your temporary password is the letter 'p' followed by your date of birth backwards (YYYYMMDD) with an exclamation mark '!' e.g., p20020418!
After your first login, update your password to something more secure by following the instructions on the RMIT ID and password page.
If you have studied at RMIT before: Your password is the last password you had while studying at RMIT. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it.

Your USI (Unique Student Identifier) is a reference number that gives you access to an online record of all your recognised training and qualifications. It’s a government requirement for enrolling in a vocational education program.
You will need one of the following forms of ID:
Any discrepancy between your name in the USI registry and RMIT's systems will prevent you from verifying your USI and enrolling.
You will need a Tax File Number (TFN) if you are eligible and want to apply for a VET Student Loan (See 6. Opt-in for a VET Student Loan). Your Tax File Number must validate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on your loan application. Find out how to validate your TFN.
If you are enrolling in a certificate I - IV program and you have a current Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Card, or Veterans' Gold Card, you may be eligible to apply for a vocational education (VE) fee concession.
If you have applied for a concession card but haven't received it yet, you can still enrol and apply for a fee concession before the official start date of your first class. Read more in 8. Apply for fee concession (if eligible).
To secure your preferred classes and timetable and to ensure you can access your course materials before classes start, we strongly recommend enrolling as early as possible.
The deadline to add classes is listed as the ‘last day to add classes’ in your academic calendar.
To enrol in your program and add classes, you will need to:
1. Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment
3. Complete a pre-training review
4. Agree to your Training Plan
5. Complete the evidence of student eligibility declaration
6. Opt-in for a VET Student Loan (optional)
7. Enter your personal details
8. Apply for a fee concession (if eligible)
9. Add classes
10. Complete your VET Student Loan application (if you opted-in)

All students commencing a vocational education (VE) program must complete the LLN, an online English and maths assessment that will be used to:

To log in to Enrolment Online you need:
The pre-training review determines if the program is suitable for you and identifies any support you may need. You will answer questions about your education, career goals, technology access, and accessibility needs.
We will email you when your information has been reviewed and you can continue to enrol. This can take up to 48 hours. If more information is needed, a staff member may call you.

You will be prompted to read and agree to your Training Plan. You need to agree to continue enrolling.

In Enrolment Online, you will be asked if you're interested in applying for a VET Student Loan. A VET Student Loan is an optional Australian Government loan that covers all or part of the tuition fees for eligible vocational education students and RMIT programs.

Click 'Yes' when prompted. You will then receive an invitation via your RMIT student email address to access the government portal. See 10. Complete your VET Student Loan application (if you opted-in).

If you don’t yet have your concession card, you can skip this step now and go to 9. Add classes.
When you get your card, you can then apply for fee concession in Enrolment Online before the official start date of your first class. Follow these steps:
If it is after the official start date of your first class and you have not yet applied for fee concession, you need to:
Enter your Customer Reference Number (CRN) or Veterans’ Affairs Reference Number (VRN) online.
You will be notified immediately of your eligibility and can then proceed to 9. Add classes.
Collect a hard copy 'Application for vocational education fee concession and exemption form' from Student Connect or the RMIT School that runs your program.
Complete and submit the form in person to Student Connect or your RMIT School along with:
Enrol in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 (unless you are enrolling in only one semester).
If you have been given a Class section code by your school to help you to select classes, enter this in the 'Class section' field and then select 'Show classes'.
Once you have selected the classes you want to enrol into, or if your classes are already selected, click the Add selected classes button to continue.
When you're finished adding classes, log out of Enrolment Online using the log out icon in the top right banner.
If you were eligible and opted-in for a VET Student Loan (VSL) in 6. Opt-in for a VET Student Loan and have waited 48 hours since adding your classes, you can now complete your VSL application in the government portal.
Follow the steps on RMIT’s VET Student Loans webpage to complete your application for a VET Student Loan.
A loan approval letter will be issued in Enrolment Online the day after you submit your loan application in the Government portal.
