Through your studies in this diploma, you will gain specialised technical knowledge and skills in property transactions, develop the necessary technical, team leadership and practice management skills as you prepare for professional practice as a conveyancer.
Leading conveyancing industry specialists will guide you through regular, face-to-face, evening workshops and online instruction, using real-world scenarios and authentic documentation in a rich and unique learning experience.
This diploma is highly recommended by the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (Victorian Division), the peak professional industry body for conveyancers in Australia, and is the product of outstanding relationships between RMIT and industry partners.
Learn to use industry-standard software and apply your skills in assignments that include real-world conveyancing tasks and scenarios.
Most classes will be delivered through evening workshops and online instructions to work around your busy lifestyle.
Access industry events, connect with industry guest speakers and learn from high-profile conveyancing practitioners.
For the majority of your study, your classes will either be held via face-to-face workshops or online instruction.
Many of your on-campus classes will be held in the evening.
In addition to classes, you will learn via prescribed tasks and research and practice activities, which include the actual work undertaken in day-to-day conveyancing employment. You will also acquire training in the use of current conveyancing software programs including PEXA (industry standard file management software).
Assessment tasks are designed to simulate the actual conveyancing workplace and require you to demonstrate the practical application of knowledge and skills that underpin this qualification. Job tasks are drawn directly from industry and performance must meet industry standards.
The types of classes you have will depend on the course you’re studying. Classes are offered in various formats designed to provide meaningful engagement with staff, industry and peers and provide for access and use of spaces where learning can be applied and active, including an array of specialised equipment.
Most RMIT courses do not include passive large-scale classes such as lectures, instead the content traditionally provided in lectures is made available online. This may be in the form of readings, videos or other on-demand learning materials. This content will also support the basis of interactive learning that takes place in on-campus classes.
The world is constantly changing, and there are universal skills that can help you adapt to the evolving nature of work and global engagement.
