C4436FST (6-Month Fast-Track) Overview
The C4436FST program model is designed specifically for those who wish to complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) in a shorter timeframe, but at a much more intensive level. This program delivery mode has a duration of 20 weeks and combines structured online classes with on-campus, face-to-face classes.
Most delivery of course content typically occurs during the online learning sessions, with some learning activity also occurring in face-to-face classes.
Almost all formal assessments that include practical observations are conducted during face-to-face sessions, and so attendance at these sessions is absolutely essential.
Online Learning Sessions
There are weekly online learning sessions delivered via the Collaborate Ultra platform, scheduled on weekday evenings from 6.00pm to 9.30pm throughout the program.
These sessions are designed to deliver the core content of the qualification, supporting students to build the knowledge and skills required to complete assessment tasks.
The online learning sessions provide:
  • Structured delivery of training and course materials across all units.
  • Guided walkthroughs of assessment expectations and requirements.
  • Real-time support, clarification, and opportunities to ask questions.
Face-to-Face Sessions
There are weekly face-to-face classes days scheduled at the RMIT Melbourne City Campus. These sessions occur on weekdays, starting no earlier than 8.30am and finishing no later than 4.30pm throughout this 20-week program.
These face-to-face sessions will include some learning activities, but are largely dedicated to completing assessment activities.
Students must attend these face-to-face sessions in person to:
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge through practical assessment.
  • Complete required observation checklists and evidence collection.
  • Receive timely feedback from assessors in a structured environment.
Time Commitment
This fast-track program requires a significant time commitment, including:
  • weekly online classes (one evening per week, 3.5 hours)
  • weekly face-to-face classes (one day per week, 6.5 hours)
  • additional study time outside of class (20-plus hours per week)
Active participation in both online and face-to-face components is essential to successfully complete this qualification.

Students must complete a series of compulsory onboarding modules during their first semester or study period. Complete all six (6) courses:
