Enjoy a memorable Saturday afternoon at The Capitol, Melbourne's home of famous movies and classic music, with live performance followed by a beloved screen musical. On 1 August 2026 at 1.00 pm, the Capitol Theatre Orchestra opens the event with fifty minutes of lively 1920s jazz, performed by a twelve-piece ensemble that revives the grandeur of the picture palace era in one of Melbourne's most striking Art Deco venues.
