EAP - Final Course Grade Appeal Form 

Information for Students
This form is for English for Academic Purposes (EAP) students at RMIT University Pathways (RMIT UP) who wish to appeal their final course grade.

You may only appeal a final course grade if you have completed the formal review for the final course grade. 


Appeals must be submitted within one day of being sent the outcome of the formal review of the final course grade. This is to allow time for the appeal to be conducted and any grade adjustments to be made promptly so that you can continue your studies in the correct class level.


To appeal a final course grade, you must also provide evidence for one of the following reasons.

  • The assessment didn’t comply with the description of the assessment or the assessment criteria in the course information
  • Reasonable adjustment hasn’t been implemented according to an equitable learning plan
  • There has been an error in the calculation of the assessment result
  • There is inconsistency in how assessment decisions have been made
  • There is a personal conflict with teaching staff that has negatively impacted the assessment result

The Deputy Director, English will review your appeal, and you will receive an outcome to your appeal via your RMIT email account within 2 working days (excluding weekends and public holidays).
