Student participation in Work Integrated Learning

Students at RMIT have various opportunities to gain work experience and industry insights throughout their degrees.

Simulated WIL

Simulated WIL

Students undertake practical training in high-end simulated work environments. Industry case studies are used in class to explore the development of real-life solutions to industry problems. Guest industry speakers also take part in lectures and tutorials and industry experts mentor students. There are further opportunities for students to undertake hackathons with industry posed problems.
Projects

Projects

Industry collaborators present real -world challenges to our students to resolve. The capstone projects challenges students to apply knowledge and skills gained across their studies under our academics supervision to develop solutions that will be presented to the industry partner. Students can choose to undertake remote projects with international industry partners.
Internships

Internships

Students undertake short unpaid or long term paid placements with industry partners. There are also international placement opportunities (under COVID normal practices) available to students.
