Yang joined the School of Management, RMIT in 2022 from NZ where he completed the PhD and began his academic career. Yang's research focuses on the international strategy of multinational corporations as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises. He is also interested in family firms and emerging markets.
Yang is active in research and passionate about research-led teaching. He has taught extensively international business courses, including global business environment, MNC strategy, and international management. He is student-oriented, aiming to provide frontier knowledge in class and encourage participation. Yang currently undertakes the program manager role for the Global Business program/major in the School of Management.
Industry Experience
Prior to his academic career, Yang worked in the import/export industry and foreign subsidiaries in China, which inspired him of pursuing an academic career in international business. Yang values highly the ties with industry partners.
