Yang's research focuses on the international strategy of multinational corporations as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises. He is also interested in family firms and emerging markets. Yang is active in research and passionate about research-led teaching. He has taught extensively international business courses, including global business environment, MNC strategy, and international management. He is student-oriented, aiming to provide frontier knowledge in class and encourage participation.
Industry Experience
Prior to his academic career, Yang worked in the import/export industry and foreign MNCs in China, which inspired him of pursuing a PhD and then academic career in international business. Yang continues maintaining his ties with industry partners actively.
