Jiayu Ye is a postdoctoral research fellow in additive manufacturing at RMIT University, specialising in WAAM and L-DED process development, toolpath optimisation, in-situ monitoring, and machine-learning-driven process modelling. With over seven years of research experience, he has led industry-funded WAAM projects, secured competitive research funding, and published widely on metallic additive manufacturing. His work bridges advanced manufacturing research and industrial application, with expertise in lattice structures, process characterisation, and stakeholder-focused project delivery.
