Using media as a force for good, students used their freshly developed skills in animation and communication to produce video content that protects and supports the community.

Victoria Police: Pedestrian Safety Campaign

Animation and educational content | 16 students | 1 program | 3 months

Reduce the number of pedestrian fatalities in the City of Boroondara by raising awareness with children and the elderly.

Students engaged in scripting and animating three videos to reinforce the importance of patience, using controlled crossings, recognising dangers and adhering to the law.

Victoria Police published the videos on their Eyewatch media channels.

Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission: Pride not Prejudice

Documentary video | 50 students |1 program | 3 months

Document the fight for measures to protect the LGBTI community from discrimination in Victoria.

Students produced a video series featuring interviews with prominent members of Victoria’s LGBTI communities 15 years after the amendment to the Equal Opportunity Act in 2000. The project gave voice to a range of important stories from Victoria's LGBTI communities.

Pride Not Prejudice has been nominated for an inaugural 2016 Pride Award through the Victorian Public Sector Pride Network (VPSPN).
