Circular Cities Showcase

Join us to explore, connect and contribute to shaping a more circular Melbourne: where resources, knowledge and opportunities circulate for the benefit of all.

Be part of Melbourne’s transition towards a circular future.

This Showcase is an immersive event, highlighting cutting-edge solutions to drive a more sustainable and resilient city.

Hosted by RMIT Activator, the Showcase brings together government, industry, researchers, local businesses and community organisations to accelerate the shift to a circular economy, starting with our built environment.

Across two days, the Showcase will explore how we can design, construct and adapt our buildings and precincts to maximise resource efficiency, reduce waste, and regenerate materials.

Through a panel discussion and industry networking opportunities, participants will see how the RMIT City North Social Innovation Precinct is a living laboratory for circular innovation.

Through your participation, we’ll strengthen industry networks and ideate pilot programs to scale circular solutions across Melbourne.

Be part of two exciting events:

'Portable Stillness' (2025), is an ongoing spatial installation that explores how the making of miniature objects and floating altar-like displays can express memory, collection, and the domestic in transition. Motivated by the instability of diasporic living and continual relocation, Ko Jou Chen constructs handmade structures that carry memory and presence across her shifting environments.
