VENTUROUS brings together the projects and design explorations of innovative contemporary architects and designers associated with the RMIT University School of Architecture and Urban Design’s groundbreaking design practice PhD program, over the last decade. The School’s focus is on ideas-led venturous design experimentation that seeks to contribute to the future of our disciplines and professions in an increasingly complex world. The exhibition makes visible the projects, processes and propositions of these practitioners, capturing both current practice and innovations that have emerged from their design-practice explorations. It is a must see for those interested how designers undertake experimentation through design.

This exhibition is presented by the School of Architecture and Urban Design and the College of Design and Social Context at RMIT University.

VENTUROUS DISCOURSE 02: GENERATIVE MATERIALITY. This panel discussion brings together leaders in algorithmic design, robotic fabrication and generative AI to discuss the shifting paradigms of generative design and their relationship to material production.
