RMIT University is thrilled to partner with the Australian Youth Film Festival (AUYFF) and celebrate the next generation of filmmakers and storytellers in an Award ceremony like no other.

Join us for an night where we celebrate the next generation of Australian filmmakers, storytellers, and screen creators at the 2026 Australia Youth Film Festival (AUYFF) Award Ceremony, taking place at Melbourne's 100-year old iconic cinematic venue, The Capitol.

This dynamic, action-packed awards show honours the talent, creativity, and vision of young creators aged 15–24 from across Australia, showcasing outstanding emerging voices in film, documentary, animation, and screen storytelling.

From thought-provoking documentaries to bold short films and innovative creative works, this year's finalists bring an array of powerful stories to the screen. The Award Ceremony is open to attend for nominees, families, friends, industry guests, supporters, as well as anyone who loves film and cinema.

The awards ceremony will recognise the achievements of nominees in bringing their screen ideas to life, and will in turn inspire the next generation of screen creatives.

Guests can expect an evening of film, celebration, conversation, and inspiration, including finalist showcase moments, industry guest appearances, and the announcement of this year's award winners.
