Professor Vivian Mitsogianni, Professor of Architecture and Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Design, warmly invites you to celebrate the opening of this exhibition, which brings together the projects and design explorations of innovative contemporary architects and designers associated with the RMIT School of Architecture & Urban Design’s groundbreaking design practice PhD program, over the last decade.
The exhibition's focus is on ideas-led venturous design experimentation that seeks to contribute to the future of architecture and design in an increasingly complex world. VENTUROUS makes visible the projects, processes and propositions of 23 practitioners, capturing both current practice and innovations that have emerged from their design-practice explorations. It is a must see for those interested in how designers undertake experimentation.
Curated by Vivian Mitsogianni, Leanne Zilka and Sophie Sung, VENTUROUS showcases the work of leading Australian and international practitioners: Natalie Alima, Alisa Andrasek, Michael Banney, Beau de Belle, Matias del Campo, John Doyle, Anthony Hoete, Emma Jackson, Mark Jacques, Gwyllim Jahn, Roger Kemp, Christian Lange, Michael Lavery, Erik L'Heureux, Carey Lyon, Patrick Macasaet, Sandra Manninger, Eva Prats, Giles Retsin, Deborah Saunt, Roland Snooks, Fleur Watson and Leanne Zilka.
This exhibition is presented by the School of Architecture and Urban Design and the College of Design and Social Context at RMIT University.
