Practice Research Symposium Europe April 2026

PRS Europe returns to Barcelona in 2026.

The Practice Research Symposium in Europe features public examinations and work in progress review presentations from our PhD research candidates, alongside a curated program of research-focused, discursive and community events.

Held in Barcelona twice a year, the PRS Europe program is designed to create opportunities and support for practice-led research excellence, collaboration, partnerships, and cross-institutional exchange within the European region.

PRS Europe attracts candidates and participants from a diverse range of prestigious European institutions, industry and practice, inviting new candidates and distinguished design and creative practitioners to share in robust reflection and dialogue.

This year, Barcelona has been named the World Capital of Architecture, and PRS Europe is proud to be included in the 10-month program of events.

This April, PRS Europe will feature one candidate examination, alongside a keynote and opening event, milestone and work in progress presentations, and an 'in-studio' event. This 'in-studio' event will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet with the curators of the upcoming UIA World Congress of Architects 2026.

Please note that registrations will be required for all PRS Europe events.
