RMIT Galleries invites you to join us for a FREE Professional Learning Day for Teachers!

This professional learning day will showcase our 2027 exhibition program and highlight opportunities for schools to engage in gallery tours and access our exhibition program resources.

Although the event is free, bookings are essential!

Teachers will receive a certificate of participation (3.5 hours) to include in their VIT Professional Development Portfolio.

Please note: This is an all-access event—there will however be some travel required of short distances between venues. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen (weather dependent).

Program for the day

  • Morning tea on arrival
  • A presentation from the RMIT Galleries Team introducing the 2027 exhibition program
  • An artist talk, followed by a Q&A with a current exhibiting RMIT Galleries artist
  • A preview of our suite of public programs and other opportunities for schools to engage with RMIT Galleries in 2027
  • An introduction to our schools’ webpage (with resources to watch and download)
  • Information about our extended tours for ‘VCE Art Making and Exhibiting’ units
  • A guided tour through two of RMIT’s three gallery spaces: Design Hub Gallery and RMIT Gallery (en route we will explore a series of public artworks)
  • A discussion session: we invite you to offer suggestions about  how we can support your teaching and learning requirements in 2027
