Saskia Loer Hansen was a much-loved friend and colleague of the RMIT University community. She served in a number of senior roles during her seven years at RMIT, most recently as Deputy Vice-Chancellor International and Engagement and Interim General Director RMIT Vietnam.
RMIT has established an endowment fund in her name that will support the Saskia Loer Hansen Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will enable students facing financial disadvantage to take part in a global experience and is open to students from any RMIT program.
Saskia was a truly remarkable person who, while exceptionally intelligent and capable, stood out for her humanity. Genuinely committed to the true purpose of university work, she put people first without exception.
Her impact on the global education sector was significant, and RMIT University is pleased to honour her memory through this fund.
