About

Dr Duc Phan is Course Coordinator and Lecturer at RMIT University. She is a distinguished leader in the global academic community.  As the Founded President of the Knowledge Bridge Research Institute (KBERI), she brings together hundreds of Vietnamese academics worldwide and thousands more in Vietnam. She also serves as Vice President of the International Society of Pitching Research for Responsible Science (InSPiR2eS), a research network spanning 81 countries and over 300 universities that is dedicated to research training and capacity building with an emphasis on responsible science.

Furthermore, Dr. Phan leads Vietnam’s participation as the Country Coordinator for the Global Pitching Research Competition, where under her guidance Vietnam has become the top-performing country, securing multiple top prizes since 2021. In addition to these roles, she contributes to the scholarly community as the Specialist Editor for the Journal of Accounting Literature (ABDC A; Scopus Q3; ABS 3) and an Editorial Board Member of the Asian Review of Accounting (ABDC B; Scopus Q2; ABS 2).

Before joining academia, Duc had over 15 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, banking, and consulting with organizations such as KPMG, National Australia Bank, and the World Bank/International Finance Corporation. This extensive industry background, combined with a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia) qualification and an ongoing lectureship at RMIT University in Melbourne, has provided Duc with a unique blend of strategic vision and operational expertise. She also holds a PhD in international accounting standards from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne. In parallel with her academic career, Duc serves as the Human Resources Director at Aroma Enzymes Technology, a high-tech company, where she applies her expertise in talent management and organizational development. These multifaceted experiences and leadership skills uniquely position Dr. Phan to bridge academic theory with practical application and to foster international collaboration and responsible research in her teaching endeavors.
