Supplementary assessment is an additional form of assessment, such as a test, that will help determine if you have achieved the standard required to pass. 

If it is not clear whether you have achieved the standard required to pass a course, supplementary assessment may be granted.

In general, supplementary assessment will only be granted to students who have regularly participated in their course and assessment, and for whom the following circumstances apply:

Students who are granted supplementary assessment, and achieve a pass in that assessment, will receive a grade of ‘SP’ on their transcript. An SP grade generates a Grade Point of 1 towards your Grade Point Average.
