Supplementary assessment is an additional form of assessment, such as a test, that will help determine if you have achieved the standard required to pass.
If it is not clear whether you have achieved the standard required to pass a course,
- A dispute has arisen over an assessment conducted by an external body, or individual, on behalf of RMIT University.
- A recommendation has been made to grant supplementary assessment by either a student progress committee, College Appeals Committee or University Appeals Committee.
Students who are granted supplementary assessment, and achieve a pass in that assessment, will receive a grade of ‘SP’ on their transcript. An SP grade generates a Grade Point of 1 towards your Grade Point Average.
