Register to volunteer at Open Day 2026 and help create an unforgettable experience for our visitors! Register by 19 July.

Open Day is one of the most exciting events on campus, and we need enthusiastic students like you to help make it unforgettable.

Open Day dates

We are calling for general student volunteers for:

  • Sunday 2 August – Bundoora campus Open Day
  • Sunday 9 August – City and Brunswick campus Open Day

What do general volunteers do at Open Day?

As part of the Open Day team, you’ll play a key role in welcoming future students and visitors, guiding them around campus, answering general questions, and showcasing the vibrant spirit of RMIT.

No experience? No problem! You don’t need to know everything about RMIT or have worked at events before – full training and support will be provided. If you’re friendly, helpful, and ready to be part of a fun and rewarding day, we’d love to have you as part of our Open Day team.

What do volunteers get?

To thank you for volunteering on the day, you will receive:

  • 1 x entry to win an iPad A16
  • Free breakfast, coffee and lunch
  • RMIT branded tote bag
  • Certificate of recognition signed by the Vice-Chancellor .

Students will also be eligible to register for an exclusive workshop with Career Connect about how volunteering improves their employability.

Register to volunteer

Register using the form below! Registrations close Sunday 19 July.

Please note, if you have been selected for a specialised role within your college, course, school, or department, please DO NOT register for a general volunteering role.
