RMIT students, staff and alumni are invited to march with the university at Midsumma Pride March 2027, celebrating pride alongside LGBTIQA+ communities from across Victoria.

The Pride March marks the beginning of Midsumma Festival and is a chance to join RMIT friends and colleagues, and 10,000 other marchers from across Victoria, in celebration of visibility and inclusion.

The event begins at Ian Johnson Oval, where participants gather, before marching down Fitzroy Street to Catani Gardens.

In 2027, RMIT will celebrate the official Midsumma Festival theme ‘confluence’.

At RMIT, we are a confluence of identities, backgrounds and experiences. We champion the rich diversity of our university community, creating a place where we can be more together.

RMIT students will have the chance to meet with other students before joining the broader RMIT group at the event. Whether you’re a new RMIT student, attending on your own, or coming with friends, Midsumma Pride March is an opportunity to celebrate pride together.

Register your interest in marching with RMIT at Midsumma Pride March below.

After registering, more information will be shared with you as the event approaches.
