Basic entry requirements

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) units 3 and 4:

  • a study score of at least 20 in English other than EAL; or
  • a study score of at least 23 in English as an Additional Language (EAL)

or equivalent studies.

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) units 3 and 4:

  • a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics

or equivalent studies.

Pathway requirement
Successful completion of RMIT's Associate Degree in Information Technology (plan AD006P24) guarantees entry into the Bachelor of Computer Science (plan BP094P23) with 96 credit points of exemption (equivalent to 1 year full-time study). Graduates of the RMIT Associate Degree in Information Technology (plan AD006P11) who have met the following requirements are eligible for guaranteed entry with advanced standing of 84 credit points into RMIT's Bachelor of Computer Science (plan BP094P21): 1. must have passed VCE Mathematical Methods (CAS), Specialist Mathematics or have completed MATH2395 Introduction to Engineering Mathematics within the Associate Degree in Information Technology; 2. must have successfully completed MATH1150 Discrete Mathematics or COSC2627 Discrete Structure in Computing; and 3. must have successfully completed COSC2391 Further Programming.
