The Cloud Implementation and Maintenance Skill Set has been designed to address the skills and knowledge required to manage cloud computing solutions within organisations.

Through this skill set, you will cover essential topics including:

You will learn using a wide variety of software, including:

Learning and teaching

Your classes in this skill set will be delivered via blended learning, using on-campus practical lab activities, and online learning using Collaborate Ultra within RMIT's Canvas platform.

Assessment methods

Your assessment in this skill set will take the form of practical demonstrations, quizzes, questioning, product assessments, and case studies.

As a student enrolled in this skill set, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills to a simulated work-based context.

You will be taught by knowledgable and industry-connected academics with the experience and knowledge to link your studies to professional best practice.

The knowledge and skills you will acquire throughout this skill set and how they can be applied in your career are described in the learning outcomes.

To successfully complete this skill set, you will undertake four subjects that will cover:

  • implementing and managing cloud infrastructure with code
  • implementing virtual networks
  • building and deploying resources.

There are no prerequisite subjects required for entry into this qualification.

Tuition fees

The tuition fees you will pay for this program will depend on whether you are offered a Victorian Government subsidised place or a full-fee place. To find out if you are eligible for a government subsidised place, follow the steps at How to check if you are eligible.

  • 2024 government subsidised place: AU$1,250* per annum
  • 2024 full-fee place: AU$1,500* per annum

Payments and refunds

In addition to tuition fees, you will be charged an annual student services and amenities fee (SSAF), which is used to maintain and enhance services and amenities that improve your experience as an RMIT student.

The SSAF is calculated based on your enrolment load and the maximum fee for 2024 is $351.
