Students must hold the relevant Class 2 unit of competency.
All relevant materials, assessment equipment and examinations are included.
Materials to bring
To sit the exam students must bring: a pair of insulated gloves (either 650V or 1,000V rated), a pair of leather rigger gloves and an analogue insulation-continuity tester.
This assessment is suitable for trades such as plumbers, mechanical fitters, refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanics.
To be eligible to sit for the Restricted Electrical Worker’s Licence Class 2 assessment, the candidate must have successfully completed one of the following units of competence from the UEE11 training package: UEENEEP010A, UEENEEP011A, UEENEEP012A, UEENEEP013A, UEENEEP014A, UEENEEP015A, or UEENEEP021A.
Once you have registered and paid for your course through the RMIT Short Courses website, there will be an additional enrolment step. This is because you will be studying a nationally endorsed unit of competency. You will be contacted shortly by our Academic Services team regarding the next step for online enrolment into an accredited unit. After you register via the Short Courses website, the Academic Services team will contact you to arrange your assessment time. The assessment will go for 75 minutes between 9am - 5pm.
Unique Student Identifier
All learners undertaking nationally recognised training are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) issued by the Australian Government.
If you do not have a USI you will need to go www.usi.gov.au and create one.
