International feature: Celebrating Indonesian Design

Runway at The Capitol showcases Indonesia's ANW and Studio JEJE in a spectacular architectural setting. Discover contemporary South‑East Asian fashion, cultural craftsmanship and bold silhouettes.

Set against the spectacular architectural backdrop of The Capitol, this special runway event spotlights two of Indonesia's most prominent designers, ANW and Studio JEJE.

Audiences are invited to experience contemporary South‑East Asian fashion up close, where creative concepts meet cultural expertise and artisanal technique. From sculptural forms to refined detailing, the showcase celebrates innovation shaped by heritage, presenting the best of Indonesian fashion to Melbourne/Naarm. More than a catwalk, the evening encourages reflection on Indonesia as one of Australia's closest neighbours and on the creative pathways that connect our cultures. It is also a celebration of ongoing collaboration: the event continues a partnership between RMIT and the Australian Embassy Indonesia, championing cross‑cultural exchange and excellence.

Proudly presented as part of PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival's Independent Programme, with support from RMIT University, the Australian Embassy Jakarta, Jakarta Fashion Week, Qantas and Dewi Magazine, this is a rare opportunity to see leading Indonesian design in an iconic Melbourne venue.

Join designers, students and fashion lovers for a vibrant night of style, ideas and community.
