Fast Track your Future

Fast Track your Future

RMIT UP has launched Fast Track, a new accelerated pathway program for high-achieving international students. The first intake begins in July 2026 and applications are now open.

Fast Track prepares students for university success in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. On successful completion (and subject to meeting prerequisites), students can progress into an RMIT University undergraduate program or equivalent.

The new program sits alongside Foundation Studies as one of RMIT’s key university preparation offerings, equipping students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for academic success.

RMIT UP CEO Jake Heinrich says Fast Track is built on focus and momentum.

It’s a fantastic option for high performers, with a one semester structure that allows international students to move quickly through their studies, and higher entry requirements that ensure they’re ready while still receiving the targeted support they need to succeed at university.

Fast Track students can choose from four discipline-based streams aligned to their interests and goals, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, and Business, with Communication and Social Context to follow from Semester 1, 2027.

This allows our students to focus on what they’re passionate about, while building the academic and English skills needed for first-year university.

Students study at RMIT UP’s state-of-the-art building in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, and are part of the RMIT University community from day one, with access to world class teaching and learning spaces, free academic support and wellbeing services and vibrant campus life.

Introducing Fast Track from RMIT UP

Life at RMIT UP extends beyond the classroom, with RMIT UP’s in-house Student Experience team running regular events, trips and social activities so students can make friends, practise their English socially and feel at home in a global community.
