PhD scholarship for physics, photonics and optics

We have a number of full scholarships available, which cover both fundamental research funded by the Australian Research Council and applied research funded by Australian industry partners.

We are looking for highly motivated outstanding candidates to conduct exciting research projects with us. 

The research topics including:

  1. 3D laser nanoprinting
  2. Nanophotonics device fabrication and characterisation for all optical communications
  3. 2D materials and graphene photonics
  4. 3D printing of composite materials
  5. Nanophotonics solar energy harvesting, storage and applications
  6. Photonics approach for solar thermal energy harvesting

$32,841 stipend and fee waiver for 3.5 years

4 - 6 scholarships available

English:

  1. Satisfy RMIT entry English requirements for postgraduate research students

Academic:

  1. Master/Bachelor (first class honor) degree in physics, optics, optoelectronics, physics chemistry, material science, solar cells, electronic engineering
  2. Outstanding academic records in undergraduate and master study (GPA >= 80)
  3. Previous scientific paper publication experience
