Engage with the research of PRS Australia’s latest examination candidates in a group exhibition format.

Practice Research Australia: Examination Exhibition is a collection of candidate examination installations from creative practice candidates examined as part of the Practice Research Symposium Australia in June.

RMIT’s College of Design and Social Context utilises a tripartite examination approach for creative practice candidates, comprising of a research dissertation, an oral presentation, and an exhibition of works or the artefact/s created as part of the research.

Candidates give their oral presentation in the Design Hub Gallery from within their exhibit. At the conclusion of their examination, the candidates’ installations remain in situ, available for the public to engage with the artefacts of their research.

This June exhibition includes research artifacts from PhD candidates in the Schools of Architecture and Urban Design, Media and Communication, Design, and Fashion and Textiles.

This exhibition is produced by Practice Research Symposium Australia in partnership with RMIT Galleries.

'The Concentric Influences of Sol LeWitt: Foundations, Pivots and Place' positions Australia at the centre of an ambitious global dialogue on conceptual art, influence and the circulation of ideas. Instigated and directed by Dr Irene Barberis, the project demonstrates how Australian scholarship and curatorial innovation can actively shape international discourse surrounding one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century.
