Vocational Education Employer Self Service (VEESS) is an online self-service application developed by RMIT for employers of Victorian apprentices and trainees. Benefits include:

Rights and responsibilities

Provide proper supervision, training and assessment

Ensure the apprentice is supervised by a qualified individual who can provide guidance and support. Supervision levels should be appropriate to the apprentice's experience and the complexity of tasks. Regularly monitor progress and maintain records of training activities.

Understand Wages and Entitlements

Apprentices are entitled to specific wages and conditions under the law. Ensure you:

  • Pay the correct award rates
  • Provide entitlements such as annual leave and sick leave
  • Allow time off for formal training sessions
