Learn the basics of Para Ice Hockey. Open to beginners, disabled, and able-bodied participants, with all equipment provided.

Attend a training session at O'Briend Icehouse. Get on the ice and experience one of the world's most exciting adaptive sports. Limited places available.

What's included

  • All para ice hockey equipment provided
  • Suitable for beginners and experienced players
  • Able-bodied participants are welcome
  • Supportive and inclusive training environment.

What to bring

  • Comfortable clothing to wear under your gear
  • Warm socks
  • Water bottle.

Date: Monday 7 September 
Location: O'Brien Icehouse, 105 Pearl River Road, Docklands.
Time: 6:30-8:30pm

Session schedule

6:30-7:30pm: Equipment fitting and preparation
7:30-8:30pm: On-ice training session

Getting there

Car: The District Docklands West Car Park (88 Pearl River Road) is the closest and easiest for parking. Additional parking can be found at the The District Docklands East Car Park (90 Waterfront Way). The District Docklands parking for the first 90 minutes is FREE.

Tram: Take the free City Circle tram (from Flinders street or La Trobe Street) direct to the Waterfront City, Docklands stop or from the CBD take the free Tram 70 (via Flinders Street) and Tram 86 (via Bourke Street) will also take you to the Waterfront City, Docklands stop. O'Brien Icehouse is only a 5 minute walk from the last stop along Pearl River Road which is at the set of traffic lights just past the tram stop.
