Our topic of conversation for this lunch is: How can the University begin to grow food for its community? And how can we engage with the ground and place that we grow this food in?
Our special guests are Yee and Cooper from Gnos, a social enterprise undertaking the Urban Greenhouse Pilot led by RMIT's City North Social Innovation Activation Team and Property Services Group.
This will see the installation of an aeroponic system that will grow a diverse range of fresh produce in bulk for RMIT students. Yee and Cooper will be joined by academics, professional staff, farmers, food systems experts and soil lovers of all kinds. Our tables are designed to allow a mutiplicity of voices to be heard.
The fully catered lunch will be a regenerative wonderland of tastes and experiences, so come with an empty stomach, a full heart and a container to take leftovers home.
