New and Improved Bundoora Courtesy Bus Service

The new and improved Bundoora Courtesy Bus Service is now in operation. The new service is more flexible, safe and operates more regularly, departing from Walert House every 20 minutes and travelling along the same dedicated route as the previous service.

The Bus Service currently enables you to be safely escorted between Bundoora campuses, as well as to major transport, food and housing hubs near the Bundoora campuses. The service is open to all RMIT students and staff and to ride it you just need to show your RMIT credentials when boarding the bus.

The service will follow a dedicated route between 5:00pm-10:00pm, 7 days a week. You will be driven by a trained RMIT security officer with high frequency rotations, waiting no more than 20 minutes for the next service.

Staff and students can now view the bus route, as well live updates on the location of the bus, via the Safe Zone safety mobile application.

For the time being, a maximum of four passengers can be transported on the bus at any given time, to ensure RMIT community members are safe when using the service. Passengers will be required to sign a log book when the board the bus and RMIT Security staff will ensure the vehicles are cleaned as per COVID Safe Guidelines.

After the open hours of the courtesy bus RMIT Security continue to offer an escort service to any RMIT student or staff member who may feel unsafe travelling in the immediate area of the Bundoora campuses. To arrange an escort please contact RMIT Security Bundoora directly. More information about the security escort service can be found here.
